If the servoregulation on the bubble sensor was activated, deactivate and restart it if no air is visible after the ML.

Connect a large luer-lock syringe to the closest port. Try to de-air by using gravity to move the air towards the syringe.

If de-airing is successful and the air source was detected and fixed, continue to monitor the patient closely.

Document the event and related procedures in the patient's chart

If applicable, report the instance in the ELSO registry.
