Prothrombin Complex Concentrate:
Adult Dose:
Normalize Prothrombin time (PT) or INR
- Desired increase in PT (%)*kg bodyweight = IU of 4Factor PCCs
- INR 2 to 4: 25 IU/kg of 4Factor PCCs/kg bodyweight
- INR 4 to 6: 35 IU of 4Factor PCCs/kg bodyweight
- INR greater than 6: 50 IU of 4Factor PCCs/kg bodyweight
Treatment of bleeding with prolonged PT/INR or CT on ROTEM/TEG
- 20-30 IU/kg 4Factor PCCs (~1500-2000 units)

After administration watch out for signs of clotting!
