Check if the servo regulator was activated to stop the pump due to:
  • Backflow
  • Air bubbles
  • Excessively low PINLET
  • Excessively high PPRE-ML and/or PPOST-ML

If the pump was stopped due to any of these, there may be an emergency situation. Go BACK and select “The pumphead is disengaged or uncoupled, and/or the pump is not properly seated”.
C.
If the pump was not stopped for these reasons OR you have determined there is not an emergency, de-activate servo regulation and carefully restart the pump.
D.
Identify and resolve the complication that caused the alarm activation.
E.
Strictly monitor the circuit and the patient.
F.
Document the event and related procedures in the patient's chart.
H.
If applicable, report the issue in the ELSO registry.
